How to install the Kanoppi Carbon Footprint plugin for Wordpress

Ready to get started with the best Carbon Footprint reporting plugin for WordPress? It’s easy to do in just a few clicks. In this guide, we’ll walk through the process of installing the Kanoppi plugin on your WordPress site.

Step 1: Download the Kanoppi Carbon Footprint plugin

To get started, you’ll need to download the Kanoppi plugin.

  1. First, log in to your Kanoppi account by clicking the Login link at the top of the page.
  2. Next, Log in.
  3. Then you can navigate to your Kanoppi Downloads area
  4. To download Kanoppi, once in the Downloads area click the Download link on the right next to the Kanoppi plugin

Step 2: Upload and install the plugin on your WordPress site

Now that you have the download file, you can navigate to the site where you want to install Kanoppi and log in to the WordPress admin dashboard.

  1. Navigate to Plugins » Add New and click the Upload Plugin button at the top.
  2. On the next screen, you can click the Choose File button to select the zip file you just downloaded.
  3. Then click the Install Now button to upload the file and install the plugin on your site.
  4. Once the plugin has been uploaded and installed, you can click the Activate Plugin button to activate it on your site.

If you use the Safari browser to download Kanoppi, you may not see the file to upload. This is because Safari automatically extracts the zip files.

To stop automatic unzipping, open your Safari browser, and then click Preferences. Under the General tab, uncheck the option Open “safe” files after downloading.

Alternatively use another browser to download the Kanoppi Carbon Footprint plugin.

Step 3: Start the installation process

Now you can start the setup process.

Before you start, make sure you have your:

  1. Licence key
  2. Admin access to Google Analytics or Fathom
