We are delighted that the WordPress Tunbridge Wells Meetup invited our founder, Louise Towler, to speak about making a Greener WordPress at their October meeting.

Byte-sized Impact: A greener future for your WordPress website
Louise’s passion for website design and development started in 2003, when she began creating websites from her home office, leading to the founding of LT Consulting, later rebranded as Indigo Tree in 2016.
Recognized as a Women in Innovation award winner, she has spoken at Brighton SEO on WordPress and Core Web Vitals and completed notable courses at Brunel Business School and the Royal College of Art.
Currently, Louise is working on Kanoppi, a tool for measuring WordPress carbon footprints, and enjoys attending WordCamps to stay updated on digital trends.
Sustainable website design
Louise started by talking about website design, what makes great design and poor design can be costly with inefficient websites and frustrated visitors.

She then followed this with a summary of bytes and data and the issue of data generation and storage.
