We are delighted that The British Library: Get Ready for Business Program invited our founder, Louise Towler, to speak on a panel as part of Green Libraries week.
The British Library Business & IP Centre recently hosted a special event, “Start-Up Stars: Championing Green Businesses,” as part of Green Libraries Week. This event, held on Thursday, October 10th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, brought together a panel of successful entrepreneurs to share their insights and inspire budding business owners.

The evening was hosted by Rasheed Ogunlaru and featured a diverse panel of speakers, all alumni of the Get Ready for Business Programme:
- Louise Towler, Founder of innovative climate tech business Kanoppi. Kanoppi is a business dedicated to developing and implementing climate technology solutions.
- Terence Chung, PhD, Co-founder of sustainable beauty brand FRUU.. FRUU.. focuses on creating beauty products with a commitment to sustainability.
- Niklas Vila Karpe and Tina Lilienthal, Co-founders of responsible fashion brand Two Lives. Two Lives prioritises ethical and sustainable practices in the fashion industry.
- Eliza Flanagan, Co-founder of circular body care brand Kankan. Kankan is a body care brand that embraces a circular economy model, minimizing waste and environmental impact.
The event provided valuable insights for aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly those interested in building businesses that prioritise sustainability. The speakers shared their experiences and offered advice on navigating the challenges of starting and growing a green business.
Following the panel discussion, there was a Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the speakers and gain further knowledge. This interactive element provided personalised advice and fostered a sense of community among those passionate about sustainable entrepreneurship.
The event concluded with a networking session, offering attendees a chance to connect with like-minded individuals, share ideas, and build relationships within the green business community. This networking opportunity provided valuable connections for both new and established entrepreneurs.
